So, my glasses broke today.
For a long time, one of the arm hinges of my glasses has been held together with thread (there was a screw that kept unscrewing, but it stopped doing that once I tied it together with thread). Today, one of the nose pads broke. Not unscrewed, actually broke. I was actually able to wear it with the nose pad missing, but it tended to slide down more than usual. Since I'm badly overdue for new glasses, I didn't want to spend $6 on getting new nose pads for the stupid things. So I frisked my apartment for glue. Couldn't find any, but I had some clear nail polish, so I used that. Seems to have worked.
Glasses held together with nail polish and thread... that's probably about equal parts "girly", "nerdy", and "cheapass", right?
ETA: Now it's nail polish, thread, and part of a cotton ball, the broken nose pad fell off. Need to get some new glasses, damn it.

So, did you make arrangements to get new glasses, or are you waiting till you need duct tape?
haven't yet. Been sick and/or busy. Also need to finish the damned traffic school.
